Shooting stars make way for rock stars this July and August only as the Maryland Science Center’s Davis Planetarium presents the classic laser rock shows that have been wowing audiences for generations.

Bass will boom and lights will zoom ‘cross the room as choreographed visuals take amazing albums and spectacular singles to new heights of “star-dome.” 3D images interpreting the lyrics and emotion of the songs will dance in trillions of colors in a multimedia experience that will blow visitors’ minds.

The National Aquarium is turning 30! To celebrate this huge milestone, the aquarium will hold a 3-day festival highlighting our mission and giving back to our communities. This family-friendly multicultural event will feature a variety of entertainment including – Milkshake Trio, St. Veronica’s Youth Steel Orchestra, Mexico Vivo, the Waxter Center Steppers and more! There will also be face painting, an Ocean Art Project, character appearances, zumba dance instruction, a Kid’s Corner, and more.
