April Noontime Cantata at The Church of the EpiphanyJ.S. Bach:

Prelude & Fugue in G Major, BWV 541: Julie Vidrick Evans, organist
Written for the fourth Sunday after Trinity and again employing a text by Franck, this little gem treats the melody "Ich ruf zu dir, Herr Jesu Christ" in the outer movements, first as an obligato line played by the oboe in the soprano/tenor duet and finally by the first violin weaving a beautiful descant above the four-part chorale.

Return of The Noontime Cantata at The Church of the Epiphany:

After a three month hiatus the popular Noontime Cantata Series returns in March. Over 600 people attended the last Noontime Cantata on December 2, 2009. This free-of-charge concert will be given at the Church of the Epiphany. The performance includes J.S. Bach's Komm, du susse Todesstunde, BWV 161 and the Prelude & Fugue in C Minor, BWV 546: Edward A. Moore, organist.

The Editors at The 9:30 Club

Marianne Matheny-Katz is a popular act at the Crossroads Lounge and will be rounding up the February Thursday jazz series with the Mike Noonan, John Pineda, and Dominic Smith from the Unified Jazz Ensemble.

The group has a rich blend of Marianne's vocals, Mike's piano skills, John's bass talent, and Dominic's drumming. The performance is free and open to the public and starts at 6 p.m. The bar will be open and the tunes will be flowing!

Romeir Mendez and Noble Jolley will be new talent in the Crossroads Lounge and are performing as part of the Radisson Hotel at Cross Keys' weekly live jazz series. Romeir will be on bass accompanied by Noble on piano. Come out for a relaxing night of jazz!
