The Columbia Festival of the Arts in collaboration with the Downtown Columbia Arts and Culture Commission and Merriweather District hosts a dance party series.

Stompin’ The Blues by energizing the body through dance at an exciting and FREE dance party series in Merriweather District’s Color Burst Park featuring local and regional artists ranging from Go-Go, Swing, Jazz, Hip-Hop and Salsa. Select events in the series will feature dance instructors during the performances.

BalletX Beyond subscribers are invited to join the company March 10, 2021 at 7:00pm EST for the live virtual world premiere of new short films by Gustavo Ramirez Sansano, Stephanie Martinez, and Maddie Hanson. Enjoy Q&As with the choreographers, plus the surprises! Must have a current, active BalletX Beyond subscription to attend. Subscribers will receive an email with the digital access link by 6:00pm on Wednesday, March 10.  The premiere films will remain available to BalletX Beyond subscribers from March 10, 2021 to Aug.

Get ready to dance like no one’s watching! The Mall in Columbia is giving shoppers the chance to show off their best moves on National Dance Day at its End of Summer Dance Party. The festivities will be held on the Outdoor Plaza on Saturday, September 21, 1 p.m. to 4 p.m., and will feature performances and a meet and greet with Poppin John, a contestant from World of Dance, season 3.

Gather your friends for “Drag Revival,” an evening of entertainment presented by Hotel Revival, a Joie de Vivre hotel located in the heart of Baltimore’s historic Mount Vernon neighborhood, Palmisano Productions and Mad Angel Entertainment.

Meet us on the street for food trucks, a beer garden, live music, and art! Barnes on the Block is a large community art block party where you can view art installations from artists, NDA, experience live glass blowing and glass sculpture work while dancing to live music and enjoying refreshing snacks.

Join BalletX for its first-ever Block Party, an action-packed day of free dance classes, performances, music, food, drink, and more! Dance classes take place from 10:00am–6:00pm, and performances and other outdoor activities occur between 12:00pm–6:00pm. The event is FREE and open to the public.
