The three hottest days of summer are the city's coolest festival. Baltimore's annual celebration of African American culture, history and heritage stretches out over five days of nationally-renowned entertainment, food, art and community at M&T Bank Stadium. Organized each year in celebration of the depth and scope of Black culture, the African American Heritage Festival showcases the history, spirit and strength of Baltimore's African American community and leadership.

The Maryland Science Center has orchestrated a great kick off to summer with an up-tempo mix of music, dance, food and fun at its annual fundraising gala, Solstice, on Saturday, June 19, 2010. This year’s theme is “Science Swings” as the Maryland Science Center welcomes the acclaimed 18-piece big band, Beantown Swing Orchestra, featuring American Idol finalist John Stevens.

The gala will also include a moveable feast and signature cocktails on the waterfront, and jitterbugs can Lindy Hop their way through the museum’s exhibition halls which will be open during the celebration.

DanceZing! benefit for The Arc of Baltimore-From the twist to disco to hip hop, The Arc of Baltimore will celebrate its 60th anniversary with six decades of music and dancing … and, of course, fund-raising for one of the nation’s largest organizations supporting individuals with developmental disabilities.

One hundred thousand welcomes to the site for Maryland's Celtic Event! Get ready to party with the Celts at the 11th Annual Frederick Celtic Festival, to be held May 8, 2010 at the Frederick Fairgrounds.

This cultural heritage event provides our community with the unique opportunity to explore the rich culture and tradition that resulted from the movement of many Irish and Scottish immigrants to the United States.

2010 marks the 10th Anniversary of the AMM & DCO’s signature site-specific dance-video work, Dances for Imaginary Places AKA The Umbrella Dance. This work for 10 performers in white carrying white umbrellas accompanied by a live videographer salutes National Dance Week with free outside performances on Wednesday, April 28 at 6 pm and Friday, April 30 at 6 pm. The performance begins at 20th & the Parkway to the Art Museum steps to the Azalea Garden and ending at the gazebo.

SATURDAY MAY 8TH, DJ WAYNE 1ST PLACE SINGLES FAVORITE DJ WILL BE SPINNING ALL YOUR FAVORITE TUNEAGE AND TAKING REQUESTS AT THE NEXT SUNDAY SINGLES DANCE.. EVERYONE OVER 21 WELCOME

ADMISSION IS $10.00 DOORS OPEN AT 7:15 AND THE DANCE STARTS AT 7:30 AND ENDS AT 11PM. WATER AND SODA'S ARE $1.00 DANCE IS BYOB.
