Ring in the New Year with Bach in Baltimore's annual New Year’s Day Baroque Celebration featuring the beloved first-chair instrumentalists of the Bach in Baltimore Orchestra playing their favorite Baroque works by Bach, Telemann, Handel, and Vivaldi.

Though initially composed for Easter celebrations, today Handel’s glorious Messiah is an awe-inspiring tradition of the Christmas season. Bach in Baltimore's Christmas Concert features a sublime quartet—soprano Jessica Beebe; alto Jessica Renfro; tenor Min Jim, and bass Andrew Thomas Pardini.

Bach in Baltimore opens its 2017-18 Season with Bach’s 1726 New Year’s composition, Herr Gott, dich loben win (Lord God, we praise you). This triumphant work set to the poetry of Georg Christian Lehms is a hallmark for both sacred and secular celebrations. Tenor Jeffrey Fahnestock, praised as “an outstanding singer with a very well-produced leading tenor voice (Süddeutscher Zeitung, München), will be featured; Professor Fahnestock is on faculties at Gettysburg College and Susquehanna University.
