Ravi Shankar to Perform at the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra
Friday, November 5 at 8 pm

Ravi Shankar, legendary sitarist, composer and singular phenomenon in the classical music worlds of East and West, performs at the Meyerhoff as part of his 90th birthday worldwide tour. He will be joined by his daughter Anoushka, who has emerged as one of the leading figures in World Music today.

The Artist Compound team brings you another multimedia extravaganza of music, performance and art! This time Artist Compound comes to Singer’s Bar & Restaurant in Mt. Vernon and presents DJ Bug, the acoustic duo Jesse & James, photography by Artronda Hall, visual art by Raven Black and Nicole Whittelsburger plus rock-a-billy poet, m. s. sanders!

Guest musicians will join with Rabbi Daniel Cotzin Burg and Cantor Ira Greenstein in welcoming Shabbat in song. The service is open to the public. Dinner follows the service for which there is a fee and reservations are required by October 8.
