Artists Compound is at it again, with day two of its most recent “art-stravaganza!” Baltimore’s most eclectic and energetic traveling multimedia event returns to Singer’s Bar & Restaurant in Mount Vernon!

Day two of this multimedia mayhem features visual art by Sage (photography), Stavros Cockrell (oil/acrylic) and Lucia Piazza, music by Nadeem Profit Baig (R&B) and WritnStone (R&B). Plus the literary art of Stavros Cockrell and DJ’s Gabriel Archangel and DJ Elemental.

Founded and conducted by Darin Atwater, the 75-member orchestra is comprised primarily by African American and Latino musicians. Darin is an unusual voice in the world of classical music. The composer and conductor combines strands of gospel, jazz, R&B and even hip-hop in his orchestral music. In the process, he's redefining what has remained a quintessentially European art form: the symphony orchestra.

In an endeavor to celebrate the legendary independent Duck Down Records, Hip Hop LIVS presents Duck Down’s 15 year Anniversary Tour featuring Pharoahe Monch and Boot Camp Clik along with artist Sean Price, Buckshot, Smif N Wessun and last but not least Skyzoo with music by DJ Evil Dee. The event will be held on October 17, 2010 at 8:00 pm at Sonar (407 E. Saratoga St, Baltimore, MD 21202). Paul Bisaccia, well known around the world for his solo piano music of George Gershwin, will feature a performance of an all- Chopin first half, and all Gershwin second half, concluding with Rhapsody in Blue. This concert also marks the first full length performance on First & Franklin's glorious, fully restored 1910 Steinway B piano.
