Goucher Hillel will host HaDag Nahash, a popular Israeli hip hop/funk band, Monday, April 27, at 7 p.m. in Kraushaar Auditorium.

The community concert is part of the band’s “Time to Wake Up” tour.  Doors open at 6 p.m. College students at area colleges may attend for free, and community members may buy tickets for $10 at the door or $5 through Goucher’s website at tickets.goucher.edu.

Celebrate St. Patrick’s Day on Tuesday, March 17, 2015 at Bridget Foy’s (200 South Street) with Irish music, food and drink specials. The dining room and bar open at Noon. Connemara Codfish Company presents free Irish music at 6:30pm. Specials during the day will include Guinness Beef Stew, Corned Beef and Cabbage, Seamus Irish Red Ale, Donnybrook Stout Drafts, Irish Whiskey Flights - plus 2Gingers Whiskey for $5.00. Free admission, with food and drink pay-as-you-go. 21 and up (with identification) to drink.

Enjoy a table on the patio and watch the brigades come down South Street after Philadelphia’s St. Patrick’s Day Parade. Free admission, with food and drink pay-as-you-go.

The Ravyns were formed in 1978 by Baltimore singer-songwriters Kyf Brewer and Rob Fahey. With power pop, punk and new wave on the rise, the two furiously wrote numerous songs in these genres with a quicker, harder edge. Fueled by national recognition, The Ravyns played, wrote and toured continuously, but never signed with another major label after their contract ended.

Hop on down to South Street for some FREE, egg-citing family fun during Philadelphia’s 84th Easter Promenade on Sunday, April 5, 2015 starting at 12:30pm. Master of ceremonies Henri David returns to lead the parade from Passyunk Avenue and South Street down to Headhouse Square. 43 year old Jeffrey Kaplan died tragically on Jan.7, 2015 in a multi-car accident near his hometown, Annapolis, MD. Over a 20 year career he became a highly skilled and respected sound engineer, mixing sound at concerts held in large venues before thousands of fans. He occasionally mixed sound for Rams Head in both Annapolis and Baltimore while home between tours. His pride and joy was 7 year old daughter, Vivien Kaplan in whom proceeds will go to.
