Gail Marten Jazz Trio

The Gail Marten Trio will begin February's Thursday night live jazz performances in the Crossroads Lounge. Gail Marten is an award-winning jazz vocalist/songwriter who will be performing live at the Radisson Hotel at Cross Keys with renowned jazz pianist Richard Johnson and bassist Eric Wheeler.

Gail Marten began her singing career in 1980 shortly after moving to Maryland. Performing throughout the mid-Atlantic region, she has captivated audiences at music festivals, concert venues, jazz clubs and private social events.

Eric Wheeler is a Washington, D.C. native and has been studying string bass for 16 years. As a teen, Eric studied jazz at the Duke Ellington School for the Arts and there had the opportunity to travel to places such as Canada, France, England, and Germany. This travel greatly influenced Eric to pursue a career in music. He received both his Bachelor and Master’s degrees from Howard University as of May 2006 and is a musician and educator in the D.C. metro area.
