Kathy Watson Jazz Trio

Kathy Watson is musically diverse in her career as a singer and songwriter of pop, classical, theater, gospel, and jazz music. She has studied music for over 20 years and holds a Bachelor's and Master's degree in operatic performance which has given her the background to step into song writing and the sound technical basis to sing in any style. Kathy’s song writing and interpretive style are heavily influenced by multiple genres of music.

Kathy released a debut self-titled CD in 1999 with a focus in adult contemporary/pop which earned her multiple nominations on the Grammy entry list that year. In addition to songwriting, Kathy performs in live venues, most recently focusing on classical music. She has been seen as a soloist at the Washington National Cathedral in Washington, D.C. as well as at the MBSTIA music industry showcase, the Cutting Edge music industry showcase, and the POPKOMM stage in Cologne, Germany.
