If you imagine Miles Davis, Weather Report and Pink Floyd playing Arabian funk and ambient electronica at the same time, you may be getting close to describing the sound of Baltimore's instrumental improv group Deep Tree Mantra.
As fate would have it, you can decide that for yourself as they will be be performing a free outdoor concert on Friday July 16th at 7:30pm, at the Johns Hopkins Outdoor Summer Film Series on the green in front of Gilman Hall on the Johns Hopkins University Homewood Campus.
This is a free all ages family friendly event. Following the bands performance The Fantastic Mr Fox will be shown on a giant outdoor movie screen. Bring blankets, lawn chars, snacks and beverages and make yourself comfortable. Refreshments will be available for purchase as well. Alcohol is not permitted.
We move indoors in the event of rain. Our rain location is Shriver Hall Auditorium.
