Harford County based punk/alternative band Kalmia was formed in the winter of 2001 by guitarist/vocalist Larry Holton and bassist/vocalist Casey Kranz. They blended their styles of punk and 80's rock together to grasp quite a unique sound. In the spring of 2005, the two were joined by drummer Tyler McDonough, who brought yet another style of music into the mix... jazz. With a lineup that seemed to fit the sound they were striving for, they made their way forward and in March of 2007 they released their debut album "Blotter." Later in early 2008, Kalmia would return to the studio to record an EP which was never officially released. Today Kalmia continue to blend their radically different musical influences together and play everything from good old rock 'n roll to thrash punk and everything in between.
