The First and Franklin Sanctuary Choir, soloists and small ensembles under the direction of Jason Kissel will present a program entitled How Can I Keep from Singing? The choir will offer some of the most beautiful music heard during morning services throughout the church year, including F. Melius Christiansen's setting of Beautiful Savior as sung from the surrounding balconies; Eric Nelson's powerful arrangement of It is Well With My Soul accompanied by piano, and portions of Mozart's Mass in C minor. English Cathedral anthems will include Herbert Howells' Like as the Hart Desireth the Waterbrooks and Ralph Vaughan Williams' O Clap Your Hands. Tenor Bill McCullough, a student of John Shirley Quirk, will sing Benjamin Britten's celebrated Canticle I, "My beloved is mine and I am his."

Peabody Conservatory pianist Matthew Ganong will accompany portions of the program on First & Franklin's magnificent Steinway B grand piano.
