Singer/Songwriter ROSI GOLAN

Brooklyn-based singer/songwriter Rosi Golan and her band perform live at Eutaw Place, Baltimore's newest small music venue for national talent. Tickets are $20, and are available in advance at www.eutawplace.org and at the door. Doors open at 7:30 pm.

Eutaw Place is an intimate live music venue showcasing national singer-songwriters, indie musicians and high caliber local talent. Located in the lower level of the historic Beth Am Synagogue in Baltimore’s Reservoir Hill neighborhood, Eutaw Place brings to Baltimore musicians at an affordable ticket price, in a comfortable atmosphere. Patrons will be able to enjoy beer, wine, locally roasted High Grounds coffee, teas, cold drinks, and home baked desserts that will be for sale.

Rosi Golan is an Israeli born singer songwriter who finally ended up in Los Angeles at the age of nine, where she grew up. While living in LA, Rosi was inundated with creative lessons from violin, to voice, to acting. At 19, she decided to focus on singing and picked up her first guitar, teaching herself to play and write songs. Six weeks later, she was performing at her first open mic. Since then, Rosi has played clubs in L.A. and NYC.

Critics love her. Marie Claire magazine described her as a woman with a “honeysuckle voice.” Perez Hilton announced “we have become captivated by her charm…we’re a sucker for her sweet songs…” and Paste magazine wrote “she had a knack for great hooks”.

Rosi was recently mentioned in Billboard Magazine. She was the winner of the first ASCAP Robert Allen Award for songwriting excellence, for which she performed at Lincoln Center. Tracks from her first album, The Drifter & The Gypsy, have reached millions through TV and movie placements. Her single “Let Me Out”was featured on an episode of “Grey’s Anatomy”. Her second album, Lead Balloon, was released in 2011.
