The old tongue will be introduced by linguist Sean Lenahan, with emphasis on its practical use within today’s Irish community. A history of the language and its recent resurgence will be presented in a verbal session, and activities such as a shared lunch and a bit of a dance lesson will be used to help our visitors speak a little Irish at the end of a fun day.

Seminar, lunch and presentation on the historical methods used to preserve memories, with a tin-type demonstration by photographer John Milleker, and a presentation on Timothy O’Sullivan, Civil War Photographer. Bring your old photographs for a casual evaluation.

Join the local design experts at Room & Board as they create seasonally-inspired tablescapes for a good cause and share tips for getting one’s home ready for the holidays. All the designers participating in the event will be partnering with a charity. Guests will get to vote on their favorite tablescape and the winner will receive a $1,000 donation for their charity After voting for the favorite tablescape, feel free to explore the wonderful Room & Board assortment of artisan-crafted gift while enjoying light bites and wine.
