On Tuesday, August 27th, the Summer Edition of the Rock on Philly: Bands and Bites music showcase is back for ROUND THREE outside on the Plaza, at the Comcast Center's Table 31. Spotlighting some of the city’s most promising musical talent and hosted by Singer/Songwriter Jennifer Logue, the evening will feature music performances from 3 Reverbnation- selected artists as well as delectable food & drink specials from Table 31. The audience favorite will be voted to perform at the Rock on Philly Finals in November 2013 to become Artist of the Year.

This summer, the Maryland Science Center will liven up its harbor terrace with tunes and treats at its all-new Patio Party series. Patio Parties will occur rain or shine on select Fridays alongside the discounted admission for Fridays After Five in July and August. Science Center admission is not required to participate in the party.

Keyboardist Lao Tizer creates expansive arrangements driven by an explosive mix of Afro-Cuban rhythms. Lauded as a "master" by the Baltimore Sun, Tizer has performed with Isaac Hayes and Jethro Tull.

"Extraordinary is the word!" said the Los Angeles Times about this vocalist's three-and-a-half-octave range. Jackie Ryan captivates audiences with an amazong repertoire of gospel, blues, bossa nova, and Latin ballads.

Influenced by musical greats Quincy Jones and Thelonius Monk, self-taght keyboardist Marcus Johnson is acclaimed for his unique style that marries contemporary jazz with high-end hip-hop.

Saxophonist Paul Carr stays true to his Southern roots with an unmistakably soulfoul style. The Texas tenor arrives at the BMA after numerous gigs at The White House and The Kennedy Center.
