In support of the education programs of Lyric Opera Baltimore, Jim Harp will direct the exquisite voices of Natalie Conte (Soprano) and Jennifer Blades (Mezzo Soprano) as they sing selections from La Traviata, Macbeth, Carmen, Samson et Dalila, Tosca, Aida, and more!  Tickets are $59 per person and include a multi-course dinner. Enjoy a magical night of food, friends and music while helping abused and neglected children. Guests are encouraged to wear Caribbean-style clothing for this intimate island experience, complete with a waterfront view. With support from Big Vanilla Athletic Club, Coca Cola Refreshments, The Latin Palace, McCardle Printing and Urban Green, the event will feature a Cuban-style buffet dinner and dessert, a cigar bar, and salsa dancing and lessons to live music by Floozie and DJ Kevin Silate.

Meet the winners of the 2012 Mary Sawyers Baker Prize at this exhibition opening party! This free event features extended evening hours, chance to see works by the 10 talented visual artists on display for the first time, and lively performances by Nathan Bell and Smooth Kentucky. A reception with the artists caps off a memorable evening. Light refreshments served.

For one month only, the BMA presents Baker Artist Awards 2012 featuring multi-disciplinary works by the three winners of the prestigious $25,000 Mary Sawyers Baker Prize. Experience Baltimore's cutting-edge art scene with works by photographer Alexander Heilner, sculptor David Knopp, and musician Nathan Bell. On view September 5 through October 7, this free exhibition also features examples by the nine b-grant winners and kicks off with an opening celebration on September 7 at 6:30 p.m.
