Join the Bach Concert Series for a free performance of J.S. Bach's Cantata 146: Wir mussen durch viel Trubsal in das Reich Gottes eingehen. Also featuring Grammy-winning organist Jonathan Dimmock.

The Bach Concert Series kicks off its 25th Anniversary Season with a free performance of J.S. Bach's Cantata 77: Du sollt Gott, deinen Herren, lieben. Also featuring solo trumpetist Elisa Koehler and the world premiere of "Isaac" by local composer Hollis Thoms.

The community is invited to join Beth Am Synagogue in the serene, natural setting of the Waterfowl Pavilion at the Maryland Zoo to welcome Shabbat in music and song with Rabbi Daniel Cotzin Burg and Cantor Ira Greenstein.    Services will be held on Friday night August 17 at 6 pm.  BYO fish or dairy dinner.  A special children’s program is scheduled at 6:40 pm.  Services will begin at 7 pm.  Please leave pets at home.  Bring chairs and picnic blankets.

Session 1 will be from July 30,2012 – August 2, 2012 and session 2 will be from August 20-23, 2012 ftom 10:30 AM to 3:30 PM (Mon – Thurs).
